IRD Testing
Teracom IRD testing is a service for operators and manufacturers that aims to guarantee a highquality TV experience for the end user by ensuring that transmission and reception are well matched.
Our experiendced test centre provides independent conformance testing of
Integrated Receiver Decoders (IRD). We evaluate and test both the functionality and performance of wide variety of platforms, such as chip sets, set-top boxes (STB) and integrated digital TVs (iDTV).
Teracom is an experienced network operator that
participates actively in technical standardisation
work, being a member of ETSI, DVB, NorDig and DigiTAG.
Teracom is able to offer operators and receiver and chip manufacturers tests of DVB-T/T2/C receivers and demodulator chips according to NorDig Unified specifications, as well as MHEG-5 software compliance tests.
We recommend that the receivers sold for use in Sweden should meet our and NorDig specifications.
Own digital TV lab
The tests are conducted in our own digital-tv lab performed in a quality-controlled manner. The tests determine how well the receiver meets the specification. Teracom has very long experience of testing, over 10 years. We have tested more than 700 reciever models from about 40 different manufactures.
